📧 The app is getting a major update! We’ve added expanded table options and handy new features like detailed signature info, file size display, and HTML export. Let’s take a look at the highlights:
✨ New in the app
Quick info for your signatures
You’ll now find a new info button at the bottom of the editor. Clicking on the icon opens a pop-up window with all relevant details about the signature:
- Name & mailbox assignment
- Creation and last modification date
- File size
- Number of links and images contained
File size at a glance
The file size of each signature is now also displayed directly in the signature list.
HTML export
Mail Signature now supports the export of HTML files (.html). This allows you to seamlessly import and export signatures.
⚙️ Optimizations
Version 2.1.0 gives you a complete overview:
Table indicator in the editor: While editing, you can see the current size of your table immediately in the bottom left corner of the editor.
- Alignment in popover: Click once in the table to open the popover. Here you can align the entire table left, center, or right.
📊 Advanced table options
Click within a table and then on the ⚙️ settings icon in the popover to open the settings:
- Border design: Adjust the border width (in pixels) and color (via hex code). Choose between different styles such as solid, dotted, dashed, or double dashed.
- Background & spacing: Adjust the outer margin precisely to position the table ideally in relation to other objects in the signature. The inner margin (padding) also allows you to create the necessary space for text and images within the table cells. Activate either the outer margin, the inner margin, or both, and enter the values you want between 1 and 100 pixels for the sides (top, bottom, left, right).
- Table width: Use the “Custom Width” option to set a fixed table width in pixels or percentages. Percentages ensure that your table remains responsive; for example, at 30%, it will occupy exactly that portion of the window. With a setting of “100%”, your table (or the entire signature in this table) also remains fully responsive and fills the available width on any screen. If you select the “Automatic” setting, the width of the table flexibly adapts to its content. It’s like a compact mode.
- Preview mode: Here you can see a preview of what the edited table will look like later. To save your changes, click on “Apply”.
🖼️ Image Editing & Details
- Margin for images: You can now set individual outer margin for images. To define the margin of an image, double-click on the image to open a dialog box. At the bottom, check the box “Margin activate” to unlock the fields for top, bottom, left, and right margins (in pixels). Then, click “Apply” to save your changes or “Cancel” to discard them.
- Horizontal lines: You can customize a line at any time by double-clicking it or by using the “Line” icon in the toolbar. To add a new dividing line, simply click the “Line” icon in the toolbar.
- Optimized indentation: Text indentation has been technically improved to ensure a cleaner typeface.
Have fun trying it out and creating your new, professional email signature!
