StatusQ is a social media sharing app that allows you to connect with your phonebook contacts and share and download high-resolution photo files (as of 01/10/2024). Soon, other media like videos will also be supported!

StatusQ is ideal for anyone who values privacy in the world of social media – whether for personal, professional or business purposes. StatusQ allows you to connect phone contacts, create groups and share content in a targeted and personalised way.

To register for the StatusQ app, you must be at least 16 years old.

Registration is only possible with a mobile phone number.

Download the StatusQ app for free from the Play Store for Android smartphones or the App Store for iPhones. Read and accept the terms of use and privacy policy. Select your country code, enter your mobile phone number and click ‘Next’. Enter the verification code received by SMS. You will then be asked for permission to share your contact list, receive notifications and advertising.

The requirements for registration at StatusQ:

• Minimum age: 16 years old
• A mobile phone number (SIM card) with mobile phone connection and Internet
• An Android smartphone or an iPhone
• Valid access permissions

Supported smartphone operating systems:

• Android 6.0 or higher
• iOS 15.0 or newer

Each account has 1 GB of free storage space. If you need more storage space, you can upgrade your storage.🚀

All metadata will be removed when the photos go live. With the exception of when “Show location” is activated, the GPS coordinates are retained and displayed as an address in the feed.

You can post your photos in high or original quality. Your StatusQ contacts can download them in different resolutions: Original, High, Medium and Small. Only if you post photos in original quality can your StatusQ contacts download these originals.

Your uploaded photos are stored on servers in Germany. They are safe and will not be sold or passed on to third parties.

Each account has 1 GB of free storage space.

The photos are saved until you delete them. If you delete your account, all your photos will also be removed.

At the moment only JPEG files are supported.

Your data remains protected and will not be transferred, sold or passed on to third parties without your consent.

We use external service providers who can handle personal data and act in compliance with the GDPR (Art. 28 GDPR).

The data will only be shared with third parties in special cases where we are legally obliged to do so or where we need to defend our rights, and only with law enforcement and other government authorities.

StatusQ is currently available in all EU countries, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

The app supports the following languages:

The app language automatically adapts to the system language of your device, depending on the available languages of the app.

To change the language of the app, navigate to “My profile”, then to “Settings” and select either German or English.
